Bill Shideler and Zdenek (Zee) Skyvara are “recovering perfectionists” who joined forces in 2004 to offer a combined 48 years in construction to discerning clients. Our partnership offers our clients even better service than we could as solo operators, with two important hallmarks: a hands-on approach and a passion for constant, honest communication.
We’re hands on because we believe it’s the only way we can exceed your expectations. We are at our job sites – your homes – every day. We’re not just managing our team but working alongside them. This allows us to maintain a high standard of quality in our work.
Just as important is our direct approach to communicating with our clients. It’s what every one of our clients says makes us different from other contractors. We’ll be upfront with you at all times. You’ll know what to expect all the way – from costs to schedules to detailed reports on progress. If you have a question, no matter how small, we make it our priority to get back to you. Communication is the foundation to our success.
We each bring unique talents to our partnership. Bill trained as an architect. He has the creative skills to provide cost-effective solutions to issues that inevitably come up in major projects. He has significant construction management experience and has worked in both residential and commercial construction.
Zee has worked in residential construction for 13 years. In a former life, he was an accountant. Attention to detail and staying on deadline is in his DNA. We have a ‘no surprises’ billing process. Our mantra is that a client never opens an unexpected bill. You always know in advance what to expect and amounts are agreed upfront, before the work begins.
Our belief in the value of partnership extends to our sub-contractors. We work with a team of carefully selected specialists and have successfully partnered with several of them for many years.
We have a track record of success in Marin and take pride in our reputation in the community. After all, this is our community too. Both Bill and Zee live in San Anselmo with their school-age families.
