Vaulted ceiling living room in San Anselmo

We took a badly-lit, small room and opened it up dramatically by pushing out the exterior wall and framing a vaulted ceiling to create a 'grand' room in the true sense of the word. We filled in the exterior wall with windows and an 8 foot sliding door to maximize the light and open the living room to the garden. The result is a room perfect for a family with two lively, small boys who need plenty of space.
